MARCH PUNK-NESS: SLC PUNK (one day only March 15) PLUS... Kariki & Revolutions Per Movie Half-Cocked podcast shout out.

We're so excited for the second PRMC feature SLC Punk on Sunday the 15th.  Hope to see you there.

Afterward… Karike!

After the movie we'll be playing “Kariki,” “Corikey”, “Car-ricky”, “Koreiky” at the Left Bank… No matter how you spell it, this is scientifically proven to be the most fun you can have playing a dice game with one butt-cheek on the seat. The many, many, many rules and nuances of the game have been passed down for generations in tour vans, at flop-house formica tables and on sticky backstage couches. Don't pass on this chance to learn the game with your PRMC friends.  Skill can be an impediment so don't be afraid to try.  Roll High Don't Lie!

Kariki is mentioned in a recent article about Fugazi releasing previously unreleased Steve Albini engineered recordings of what became their In on the Kill-Taker album.  Take a look at that article here and get the Albini mixes while you are at it… all proceeds go to Steve and his wife Winna's favorite charity, Letters to Santa.

Something to do when you aren't punk-rocking!

Some of you know that the first movie we showed (before we knew this would become a monthly gang-hang) was Half-Cocked by Suki Hawley & Michael Galinsky.  You can watch this incredible film if you've got a Library Card! It doesn't get more punk than that.

Last week I learned there is an expansive two-podcast conversation with Dave Pajo of Slint, (Aerial M, Stereolab, Gang of Four, and, and, and…) on the prolific film & music podcast Revolutions Per Movie about how special this movie actually is. Recommended listening for those who are interested!
